Pepper Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Plum Glaze
(Serves 2)

Ingredients:
2 each fresh Ahi tuna filets
2 tablespoons coarse black pepper, ground
2 tablespoons olive oil

Method:
Brush tuna with olive oil and sprinkle each side with pepper. Cook in a non-stick skillet over high heat – 2 minutes per side for rare, 4 minutes per side for medium. Set aside.

Glaze ingredients:
10 ounces of plum sauce
4 ounces sweet-and-sour mix
1-ounce soy sauce
2 teaspoons Wasabi powder
1 small bunch cilantro, stemmed and finely chopped

Glaze method:
In a mixing bowl, combine the Wasabi powder and the sweet-and-sour mix. Stir until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Refrigerate until serving time.

To serve:
Place the tuna on serving plates and top with the Wasabi Plum Glaze.
