Located in the renovated New York Hotel (originally constructed in 1902), the Market Street Oyster Bar has been Salt Lake's showcase for dining and conversation since 1981. Dazzled by the beautiful display of fresh seafood on ice, guests at the Oyster Bar enjoy a variety of fresh fish and seafood from around the world, as well as a selection of chowders and stews, steaks, pastas, sandwiches and salads. Along the counter are steam kettles, where cioppino, oyster stew, and lobster bisque (to name just a few) are prepared in full view of dining guests.
Encircling the club are columns where local Utah artists have showcased their talents with colorful, vibrant artwork. This idea was patterned after the incredible art at La Couple (a celebrated bistro located in Paris).
This private club is a popular gathering spot in downtown Salt Lake City and bustles with activity both night and day.
